Isobel & Tom’s Wedding Photography at Alveston Pastures Farm - Stratford-upon-Avon: A Perfect Summer Celebration

Updated: Oct 7

Isobel’s wedding day started with a buzz of excitement at her mum’s house in Stratford-upon-Avon. The bridal party was in full celebration mode by the time I arrived, and the house was a hive of activity. Luckily, there was no need to stage any shots—their gorgeous dresses were already beautifully displayed, bathed in soft sunlight pouring through a nearby window. It was the perfect setting to kick off the day’s photography.

As everyone finished getting ready, I stepped outside to capture the wedding cars and flowers. To my surprise, the next-door neighbours had thoughtfully set up a table with champagne and snacks for the bridal party while they waited to head to the church. It was such a heartwarming and personal touch, adding a layer of community spirit to the morning.

While I was documenting the bride’s preparations, my fantastic second shooter, Kas, was capturing the action over at the groom’s house. Judging by the images I later edited, Tom and his groomsmen were having an equally fun and lively morning, with perhaps just a few nerves creeping in as the ceremony drew closer!

The wedding ceremony took place at the stunning St. Gregory’s Church, right in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. It was the perfect setting for Isobel and Tom to exchange vows, and the photos truly speak for themselves—this venue was nothing short of breathtaking.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Alveston Pastures Farm, an idyllic countryside venue that was buzzing with the lively tunes of a brass band as guests arrived. The sun was shining, drinks were flowing, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.

This was, without a doubt, one of my favourite venues of the summer. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and surrounded by scenic fields, offering a peaceful, picturesque backdrop for the day. I took Isobel and Tom for a stroll around the gardens for some couple portraits, and they were more than happy to wander through the long grass for the perfect shot. These intimate moments in the natural surroundings are some of my favourite images from their wedding.

As the day unfolded, it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Emotions ran high, with laughter and happy tears in abundance. Kas, who was positioned on the veranda, captured some stunning candid shots of the guests’ reactions, which really helped to round out the story of the day.

Golden hour arrived and brought with it the most incredible lighting. We couldn’t resist heading back out into the gardens for a second round of portraits, and I’m so glad we did. These golden hour shots turned out to be some of my favourite images of the entire summer—there’s nothing quite like that glow.

As the sun set, cocktail hour kicked off, perfectly timed to take advantage of the beautiful evening backdrop. Whether it was intentional or just pure luck, it couldn’t have been more perfect!

The evening wrapped up with cake cutting, the first dance, and then the real party began. The dance floor came alive, and the guests didn’t hold back—everyone went wild, ending the night on an incredible high.
